Taste of Heaven is available in both e-books and paperback, Click Here

My Rider Is All I Need is available right now only in e-book, Click Here

NoturAvrgeBritt: How did you come up with your title?

1) The Title My Rider Is All I Need Is focuses on one of the main characters in the book.  The story shows how love and overtake evil. It’s about having someone with you through good times and bad times.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Are any of the character’s experiences based on someone you know, or your own life?

2) None of the characters are based off my life experiences or anyone that I know. It is truly a work of fiction.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How much of the book is realistic?

3) I believe the stories in My Rider, Season One and Season Three, are very realistic.  In season one’s story Sonny is being abused physically, verbally, and emotionally by someone she loves.  And in Season Three some of the women have been hurt so bad that they don’t believe in love anymore.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Is there a message in your novel that you want your readers to grasp?

4) The message I want my readers to get is that real love is out there waiting to be found. There are real men out there searching for the same things that women are desperately searching for.

NoturAvrgeBritt: If you had to do it all over again would you change anything in your book?

5) I wouldn’t change anything about what I am doing. It’s been such a great joy to experience all that I have thus far.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How did you come up with the plot?

6) It’s hard to explain. I usually sit down in front of my computer and let my stories flow.  I like to call it freestyling.

NoturAvrgeBritt: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

7) The hardest part is coming up with the intro of the story. I like to hook my readers at the very beginning. I take great care in developing just the write prologues to really draw readers in and keep them there.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Did you learn anything from your characters while writing your book? What was it?

8) What I learned from the characters is how to draw on inner strength and the power of love between two people.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Do you have anything specific you want to say to your readers?

9) I want my readers to know that I love them and I appreciate them for taking the time to read and review my work. It is a great feeling to know that others enjoy what I’ve written.

NoturAvrgeBritt: What were some of the challenges in bringing it to life?

10) One of the challenges is describing characters in a way that readers get a crystal clear idea of how each character look.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How would you describe your book to someone who has not read your book or any of your previous novels?

11) I would describe both books as good reads.  Taste of Heaven is a steamy short story with tons of romance and suspense. My Rider: All that I Need is also a romance novel but has a lot more action.

Taste of Heaven-Marcus Williams is a successful business man. His work is his first and only love. He enjoys spending time with the ladies, but refuses to settle down. Until one night when he has a taste of Heaven.

Sheri Smith is a sweet and conservative woman. She has been Marcus’ secretary for three years. Although she was attracted to him from the moment she first saw him, she decided to remain professional. But now Sheri is ready to let him know how she feels. Being that she is naturally shy, Sheri calls upon her alter ego to get the man of her dreams. Can Heaven get what Sheri truly desires?

Trevor Benson is still grieving from the untimely death of his wife. He turns to his work to help deal with his pain and loneliness. He has no interest in finding love again, until he meets the mesmerizing Desire.

Desire Jones seems to be all too perfect. She has the perfect body, a thriving business and men falling at her feet. Although her life appears perfect to outsiders looking in, her heart is still broken from calling off her recent engagement.

Take a look inside the lives of Marcus, Sheri, Trevor and Desire as they find love without looking for it.

My Rider All That I Need– Things aren’t always what they seem. Sometimes our Knight in Shining Armor is just a
figment of our imagination.

Season I

Sunny Long was excited when she thought she had found the perfect man in Stanley.
When they met, he did and said all the right things. But that all came to a screeching halt
once he’d gotten his hooks into her. Sunny soon found out that her Knight was nothing
more than a crazy controlling abusive beast. Because of the physical abuse, Sunny must go
into hiding.

Rider Hills can’t believe it when he sees the beautiful Sunny with black eyes and a battered
body. He is more than happy to take her in and show her how to defend herself. In the midst
of protecting her, love and respect blossoms. As their passion grows can Rider keep Sunny
safe or will Stanley succeed in killing them both?

Season II

Ford Hills has been shot and left for dead. No one knows who would want the nicest of guys killed. Heading home from work Latoya finds Ford on the side of the road. She springs into
action determined to nurse him back to health. Will her kindness and compassion lead to her putting herself in harms’ way to rescue him from the unknown?

Season III

Passion Sims has it all. She is CEO of a great company. She has beauty, money, and tons of
lovers that she easily controls. Love has never been in the equation; until she meets Chance
Tate. Chance remembers letting the chocolate beauty get away at a party. A decision that he
regrets daily. A surprise meeting brings the two face to face once again. Will she allow love
into her heart? Or will she lose the man that loves her more than life itself because of her
selfish attitude?

NEW RELEASE: “Make It Back To Me” Interview with Author Myriah Westbrooks

Make it back to me

Publication date: 4/12/16

Publisher: Danielle Marcus

Available in both paperback and e-book: Just eBook for right now. Working on paperbacks, as we speak.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How did you come up with your title?

A: I wanted the title to fit the story, and since the book is about Korbin and Kyneko finding their way back to each other, despite all of the foolishness and deceit that their relationship endured.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Are any of the character’s experiences based on someone you know, or your own life?

A: I wish. The one thing I will say though, is I surrounded Kyneko with brothers purposefully. There are some habits, some ways she has that she inherited from her brothers. Like me.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How much of the book is realistic?

A: I tried to make it as realistic as possible. There were things I had to research to make sure that it sounded real.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Is there a message in your novel that you want your readers to grasp?

A: Real love endures everything.

NoturAvrgeBritt: If you had to do it all over again would you change anything in your book?

A: Yes, I would’ve paid a little more attention to making sure every scene was completely explained. Don’t worry though, there will be no questions left after part 2.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How did you come up with the plot?

A: Believe it or not… I actually dreamed it out. Their names and everything about them came to me when I was asleep.

NoturAvrgeBritt: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

A: The hardest part definitely was making sure that readers grasped how heartbroken Kyneko was, after what happened with her and Korbin.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Did you learn anything from your characters while writing your book? What was it?

A: Definitely. I think each character teaches resilience in their own way. I wanted to make sure Kyneko wasn’t a whiny female, but that she still showed vulnerability, and I didn’t really have to make sure of anything. She did that on her own.

NoturAvrgeBritt: Do you have anything specific you want to say to your readers?

A:  Yes, I appreciate all of your love and support. I was sooo nervous about this book, I blew up my publisher’s inbox and phone a thousand times a day… and to find out that you guys loved the book is such a relief. So much more is store so make sure you stay tuned!

NoturAvrgeBritt: What were some of the challenges in bringing it to life?

A: I didn’t want Korbin to just sweet talk his way back in after everything that happened, even if it was beyond his control, so making sure that Kyneko put up a fight and didn’t just give in was a challenge. Researching conjugal visits and how legalities work was also semi-difficult.

NoturAvrgeBritt: How would you describe your book to someone who has not read your book or any of your previous novels?

Make It Back To Me: Korbin and Kyneko is a love story, at its heart. It is urban and there is some drama, some suspense and some mystery. There will be some characters that you hate, but I believe that Korbin and Kyneko’s testimony of their love and how they found their way back to each other definitely is one in a million, so if you like love stories and romance, you’ll definitely like this

About the Book(synopsis):

After being left at the altar by the cocky yet oh-so-sexy Korbin Rich, Kyneko Carter is left to pick up the pieces to her heart and move on with her life. However, moving on just may not be that simple when all she can breathe is Korbin. Not to mention the daughter that she never got to tell him about. When fate strikes, and Kyneko is finally facing the answers she deserves, Korbin and everything that she thought she hated about him doesn’t seem to be real. Her conscience tells her not to trust him, and that he’ll just abandon her again. But her heart wants Korbin and soon, she’ll do just about anything to have her little family back, even if it means putting her safety at risk.

Korbin hadn’t meant to break Kyneko’s heart, and lived with it every day of the four years that they were separated. But finding out that he has a young daughter that he’s never met makes him determined to get Kyneko back. There’s only one problem. By Korbin telling Kyneko who’s really responsible for the crime he is imprisoned for, he’s putting the family he craves so badly in great danger. Will he choose to let her know and face the danger together, or continue the hard boy act that could get him and everybody he loves killed?

        Author Q&A

Author Q&A for Concealed Betrayal 4; My Saving Grace

  1. How does book number sixteen feel right now?

Dominique: If feels great! This book was supposed to be out in February. I pushed it back to focus on my 32nd birthday and to make sure it was released the right way. It felt rushed at the time.

  1. This is the last book in the series. How do you feel it all came together for the closer?

Dominique: I think it came together nicely. It wasn’t rushed. I made sure I answered a lot of questions from book three and throughout the series. I think I gave my readers the type of ending that will truly make them miss these characters.

  1. Concealed Betrayal 3 ended with a crazy cliffhanger. What can we expect concerning that?

Dominique: The continuation. Book four picks up right where book where book three left off and everyone is running to Harmony’s side to comfort her. I shed a few tears as I wrote this book. It doesn’t hit home but any type of death will affect anyone.

  1. What are you currently working on?

Dominique: I just finished the second book to the Scarlett Fry series. I’m excited about that one. I will be re-releasing two of my poetry books in the next few weeks and placing the Secrets and Deception series into one novel for paperback.

  1. You have a lot going on. How do you jump from one series and into the next so easily?

Dominique: I think, when it’s time to end a series, I don’t hesitate. My characters always let me know when they are done and a lot of times, before a series is finished, I already have something new in mind. So it’s easy to jump from one series to the next.

  1. What is the inspiration behind your Christian fiction novels? Will you be releasing anymore in the future?

Dominique: The inspiration behind the Christian fiction series is to inspire and open the eyes of those who read it. None of my stories relate to my life. But I see a lot going on around me. So I try to create stories I think my readers can relate to and understand. I do plan to release more in this genre in the future.

  1. What’s next for you as an author?

Dominique: I plan to re-release my poetry collection under Diamond M’Press Publications within the next few weeks. I plan to release the Secrets and Deception Series in paperback in June. Scarlett Fry’s new book drops in August. I have a standalone I’ve been itching to release and I will be starting a new series from a family based out of Florida sometime next year as well as another standalone.

  1. You are busy? How do you find time to work on PEN’Ashe and DMP?

Dominique: I have a schedule. Everything gets put into the schedule. PEN’Ashe releases an issue every two months. So that helps me stretch things out a bit. I just signed a new author to DMP, Ka’Shaun. She will be releasing her debut novel in May. I grind hard every day on everything.

  1. How can authors/writers/readers find out more about PEN’Ashe and DMP?

Dominique: PEN’Ashe is now taking submissions for our next issue. We can be contacted at penashemagazine@gmail.com our website is http://penashemagazine.wordpress.com. We are on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram under penashemagazine. DMP is on twitter at DMPLit, Facebook at Diamond M’Press Publications and Instagram at Diamond M’Press. We are currently taking submissions for new manuscripts and I am taking clients for mentorship. We can be reached at diamondmprespublications@gmail.com, our website is www.diamondmpresspublications.com.

  1. What advice do you have for authors/writers who are just starting out?

Dominique: Don’t let someone else’s no become your no. Learn every area of the business. Even if you have to pay someone to edit or do covers or format, learn how to do some things yourself and know the protocol and procedure of those things. This is your career. Even if you work a full time job, being an author is a career. Treat it as such. You will only earn what you put in so grind hard and work hard. Stay true to yourself.

Anything is Possible with Blind Ambitions

Blind Ambitions

Blind ambition is when ambition prevents people from seeing what’s happening around them. Sometimes blind ambition is a great trait to have too. Sometimes we need to block out what is happening around us in order to do what seems impossible.

Sometimes you can gain so much encouragement from a book. “Blind Ambitions” by Lolita Files, did exactly that for me. Another book that I got from a local library book sale for next to nothing, yet I have read it so many times. And each time I pick it up, I can’t put it down. It was that good.Although I haven’t read any of her other books this fascinates me enough to want to read her other books that people seem to raving about. With this novel Files, just captivates you with compelling female characters that exuberates the ups and downs of being an African American woman in Hollywood and trying to balance their lives at the same time. Upon reading this book, you’ll get a real glimpse of what it’s like for actors, writers and producers in the entertainment industry. This book will have you questioning how much faith I had in yourself. And how hard are you willing to work to get to where you want to go in life. Would you make the sacrifices? Are you willing to let go of all your past digressions in order to relinquish the flow of happiness threatening to come your way? Learn to take chances because it just may open the door to opportunities.

Blind Ambitions follows three women in their 30s, Desi the actor, Sharon the producer, and Bettima the receptionist. I loved all three of the characters but each for a different reason. I felt a connection or some kind of relation between me and them. Desi starts out battling the thought of getting a regular job or continuing on with her dream of being an award winning actress, until a writer named Daniel comes along and offers her a lead acting role she can’t refuse although the show hasn’t even gotten off the ground yet.  Sharron, Desi’s bestfriend is already  a well-known producer in hollywood ,but that doesn’t stop her from getting shunned by leading professionals in the business. But that is the least of her problem juggling between two men unable dissolve her commitment issues. Daniel solicits her services as the producer of the show and she waste no time hitting the ground running. Bettima on the other hand lucked up as a receptionist  a production company where Daniel works as a writer, in hopes of one day becoming a writer/producer.  But to support her lifestyle, she uses men for money and sex until she realizes she needed to change her ways in order to change her life. And with the help of Daniel also becomes involved with the production of the show. These three women become the best of friends in the process, creating a long lasting bond.

Would I recommend this book? Of course this is a classic story of following your heart,  learning to love and be loved, and to go for what you want.
